Join the orchestra

The Columbus Mandolin Orchestra is seeking musicians of all skill levels for mandolin, mandola, mandocello, guitar, harp and double bass.

If you played in a string orchestra in school, you’ll be right at home in a mandolin orchestra, as our instruments are tuned the same as traditional string orchestra instruments.

Musicians with experience on violin, viola or cello can transfer this knowledge to their plucked counterparts: mandolin, mandola, and mandocello. If you do not own your own instrument, we will provide a loaner instrument for you.

The CMO is a very welcoming place for individuals who can play music using notation or tablature.

We rehearse on Sundays at 2:30pm at Fairlawn Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Indiana.
